Why: to vote on bylaws amendments intended to more clearly define protections for water quality, green space and wildlife within the Watershed Protection Overlay District surrounding Haggetts Pond.
Citizens filed petitions and warrant articles for consideration at a Special Town Meeting. The town convened a meeting of its 8 governing boards on February 14, which approved a date of Monday, March 11 for this Special Town Meeting at 7 PM. The venue will be the Collins Center attached to the Andover High School.
The language contained in the Warrants is not final. The petitioners received feedback at the February 14 meeting and have drafted amendments that they intend to submit from the floor on March 11. Please read about the proposed amendments here and our FAQ here. .
