LET’S KEEP THE TRAIL UNPAVED!
After the March Special Town Meeting on the Haggetts Pond project in West Andover, community members came together to form the “Friends of Haggetts Pond” to keep working toward preserving our beautiful and natural trail. Our mission is to promote public stewardship of the Haggetts Pond watershed and trails in Andover Massachusetts so to preserve this unique ecosystem for present and future generations through education and community involvement.
Our first event was held on July 31st at the Oak & Iron Brewery. Titled, “Party for the Pond”, it was a great success in raising money to continue the effort to Save the Pond. Activities included live music, food and a visual presentation, and a raffle.. This event showed the great support the community has for keeping Haggetts Pond pristine and accessible..
Are you a business or interested in other ways of supporting saving Haggetts Pond and Trail? We are accepting donations and welcome any support you can provide.

Additionally, we are always looking for people to help with:
- Outreach by e-mail, letter, social media or in-person. It’s important that as many people as possible let members of the town’s committees know about our concerns.
- Ability to attend town meetings to speak out or support those that do
- Content writing
- Photography and videography
- Legal and regulatory research and advice
- Making connections with town and state officials that understand the myriad problems presented by this project
