Party for the Pond at Oak and Iron

On July 31st, a sell-out crowd showed up to support the effort to save Haggetts Pond and Trail by attending this special fundraiser at our very own local favorite, Oak and Iron Brewing Company.

Friends of Haggetts Pond is continuing the effort to save the pond and trail. Your attendance helped to continue the fight by providing needed funds to build the legal fund challenging the plan to pave this important natural resources and recreational area..

Advance tickets were sold for $30. Tickets at the door cost $35. A ticket gained entrance to the party. Food and live entertainment was provided. Russ Six played solo acoustic guitar, covering a wide range of familiar songs from the 60's to today infused with a personal folk/ American style..

While this event is passed, please stay tuned for Party for the Pond 2, soon to be shared in this space.

We risk eroding water safety further by excavating the rail bed and disturbing contaminants contained there; or risking transfer of bitumin, heavy metals, oils and debris to our drinking water supply in run off from storms. Let's promote a trail design that complies with our bylaws.

Governance Concerns

Andover has provided insufficient notice and engagement while paying for a design and seeking grant monies for this project - compared to other projects. The matter of the Haggetts Pond trail has become more than a conservation and water issue - it highlights problems with governance in our town that should concern us all.
